Occupational Safety Officer Role

Risk Alive Analytics Inc is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Safety Officer to join our team. As an Occupational Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Development: Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee knowledge and skills in health and safety.
  • Health and Safety Planning: Develop and implement health and safety plans to mitigate risks and prevent injuries.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Work Environment Evaluation: Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Computer and Technology Skills
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Industry Experience
  • Energy Sector: Experience working in the energy sector is an asset.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Accessibility Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees and provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
