We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at the Kelowna Community Health and Services Centre. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings
- Answer telephones, respond to general correspondence, and maintain accurate records
- Perform data entry, word processing, and other administrative tasks
- Compile and enter statistical information, and maintain accurate records
- Assist with medical billing, and manage medical/surgical supplies and equipment
- Grade 12 diploma, and completion of a Medical Office Assistant course from an accredited Community College
- Two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm, and proficiency in computer software applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
