Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. We are seeking a skilled Set-Up Injection Molding Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing and setting up injection molding equipment, developing and modifying robot programs, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and set up injection molding equipment, including moulds and moulding machines
  • Develop and modify robot programs to handle parts without causing damage to equipment or parts
  • Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, and work with quality inspectors to ensure part quality and performance
  • Make minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines and tools, and notify supervisors when major service is required
  • Provide ownership and analysis of injection molding process and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement, and reduction of downtime
  • Record and maintain records as required
  • Promote safety by adhering to all related policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Ability to operate a crane
  • Able to drive a forklift
  • Working knowledge of plastic injection moulding
  • Good mechanical aptitude
