Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Driver to join the Recreation Therapy team at Hilltop House in Squamish, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation services to and from various locations for clients, including embarking and disembarking passengers, and transporting supplies and materials as needed.
- Operate a vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the service area, including routes and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
About Hilltop House
Hilltop House is a 61-bed long-term care facility providing home-like care for seniors with complex needs. The facility offers a range of services, including respite care, community bathing, and adult day care.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 plus two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 4 vehicle license (unrestricted) required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
