Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team in Squamish, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically-operated trucks and heavy-duty equipment
  • Use various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Complete daily reports, work orders, and order necessary parts to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinate repair schedules

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
  • Certified Red Seal Mechanic or second-year apprentice with experience required
  • 2+ years' experience as a Mechanic
  • Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
  • Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
  • Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
  • Use fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity
  • Ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
