Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a stable and even surface.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition.
Work Environment

As a Construction Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and in noisy conditions. You will also be required to work in urban, remote, and various locations, including construction sites.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy loads and working in challenging weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

Weight Handling

You will be required to lift and handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as part of your duties as a Construction Laborer.
