About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Hive Invesco Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong reliability and communication skills.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication and reliability skills
Language and Work Term

The work language is English and the work term is permanent.

Hours and Benefits

The successful candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week and will be eligible for benefits.
