About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at 1909410 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, receive payment for goods or services, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Shelves and Maintain Store Appearance: Restock shelves, clean the counter area, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Work with Electronic Systems: Operate an electronic cash register, Interac machine, and price scanner to efficiently process transactions and manage inventory.
  • Meet Security and Safety Requirements: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products, and adhere to all security and safety protocols.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced retail environment, working under pressure and handling heavy loads when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of retail experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
