Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Thermoforming Machine Operator to join our team at PolarPak Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating thermoforming machines to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned thermoforming machines at the prescribed production rate.
  • Start and stop machines safely at the beginning and end of production.
  • Pick up product and pack into boxes, lift boxes, and place on skid.
  • Remove scrap plastic from the machine and place into designated containers.
  • Erect, seal, and palletize packaging material according to the prescribed pallet pattern.
  • Enter appropriate codes on the control screen for different types of downtime and errors.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine/operation issues.
  • Alert relevant personnel regarding production, safety, and quality issues.
  • Perform quality checks and follow product specs, packaging specs, and quality guidelines.
  • Pack the correct number of parts in the box.
  • Perform efficient and safe roll changes and follow the prescribed machine start-up procedure.
  • Ensure appropriate supplies are maintained at the machine.
  • Provide training to new operators and relief breaks to other operators as needed.
  • Generate and scan product labels and fill up traceability documents.
  • Ensure the appropriate skid type is being used.
  • Follow lockout/tag out procedures and complete production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in the work area.

Requirements

  • Team player with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Must pass Numerical/Comprehension test.
  • Able to work day and/or night shift.
