Senior Audit Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Audit function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our internal control systems and risk management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audit engagements to assess management and internal control processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancement.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business operations, including our risk management and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize audit objectives and develop audit plans.
- Lead and manage audit teams to ensure the execution of high-quality audit work, meeting tight deadlines and delivering results-driven insights.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, risk managers, and audit committees.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in audit and risk management.
- Contribute to the development of our audit methodology and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in audit and risk management.
- Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in audit and risk management, with a strong background in governance and risk.
- Professional designations or certifications in audit and risk management, such as CIA or CPA-Audit.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in audit and risk management, with a strong understanding of business operations and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize audit objectives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
