Job Title: Flooring Installation Specialist

Modern Finishing Inc. is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and client focus
Work Environment:

Our team works in a variety of settings, including residential, rural, and urban areas. You will be required to work in a dusty environment and be exposed to odors.
