At Modern Finishing Inc., we are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Work Environment:

As a Flooring Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial locations. You will be exposed to dust, odors, and other environmental factors.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
