About the Role

Catastrophe Engineering and Analytics (CAT E&A) is a cutting-edge technical team that conducts innovative research and development in catastrophe risk analysis. We provide complex quantitative metrics to inform underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop end-to-end systems to deploy and run models
  • Collaborate closely with business, product, and data science teams to drive successful project outcomes
  • Build data pipelines, perform data analysis, and deploy models
  • Work with the team to develop a user-friendly and seamless technical platform
  • Understand and assist with the development of AI and machine learning related projects
  • Drive technology and architecture decisions, and mentor teammates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, or SciPy) or R
  • Proficiency in building and working with APIs
  • Experience with GIS libraries, PostGIS, GDAL
  • Experience with both streaming and batch processing of data
