Railway Infrastructure Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Railway Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team in Toronto.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in rail infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
About the Role:
- Lead the development of construction documents for the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel Project
- Monitor design schedules, track deliverable dates, and prepare look-ahead schedules for distribution
- Assist discipline leads in identifying design issues and preparing RFIs for clients as required
- Manage design subconsultant agreements, deliverables, and invoicing processes
- Track project-associated costs related to design hours progress tracking and estimating
- Work with discipline leads to ensure design solutions are fully coordinated with other disciplines and contract requirements by chairing meetings, preparing sketches, and tracking deliverables
- Collaborate with BIM and CAD personnel to develop drawings, sketches, and support documents when required
- Track and monitor design interfaces – internal, external with clients, and external with third parties
- Review all contract requirements and ensure compliance
- Participate in change management processes and assist commercial managers as required
- Design issues tracking and issues resolution
- Liaise with project document control managers to ensure procedures are being adhered to and key documents uploaded to clients are compliant
- Review project and company procedures for design quality management and track performance
- Attend internal and external meetings and maintain meeting minute records
About You:
- You will have 5-8 years' experience as a civil engineer, including alignment, familiar with various Ontario-market clients' design standards
- Some experience as a project manager or assistant project manager is an asset
- P.Eng. or registered as Engineer-in-Training with Professional Engineers Ontario is an asset
- You must have experience in detailed design coordination
- PMP training is an asset
- You must be legally able to work in the greater Toronto area
- High skills in Inroads or Power Rail Track are mandatory
- Registered P.E. in Ontario is highly desirable
- You will have sound technical/business judgment in the evaluation, organization, management, and experience of design activities
- Able to develop plans, specifications, technical notes & calculations, etc., with minimal supervision
- You will have ability to develop non-standard solutions
- You will be able to work in a multi-disciplined team
- You will have ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- You will have ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, partners, contractors, etc.
- You will have willingness to learn, develop, and apply new techniques, standards, and processes
- You will have willingness to take on additional tasks as needed
- You will possess excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- You will have excellent analytical and technical writing skills, excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- You will have fluency in English, both written and verbal, which is critical
