Hotel Houseperson Job Summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Houseperson to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our hotel floors and linen areas. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen areas, including vacuuming guest hallways daily
  • Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies is done on an assigned basis
  • Report any damage or maintenance issues in public areas
  • Respond to guest questions in a courteous and welcoming manner
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow standard operating procedures
  • Deliver linens, cots, and extra supplies to guest rooms upon request
  • Maintain linen closets clean, stocked, and organized
  • Ensure inventory of guest room products is stocked for room attendant carts
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens, and trash
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and maintain a safe and healthy environment

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience required, with preference given to hotel environment
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines
  • Must have a safety mindset for self and others
