About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Consultant to work closely with our Group Operations and IT partners on large and complex technology project initiatives. As a Business Analyst Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and driving requirements analysis and review, identifying the most optimal requirements to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business architecture models that align with business strategy, driving operational efficiencies and client-centric solutions.
- Advocate for client needs during project discussions to align solutions to strategic outcomes.
- Document business architecture models and requirements; facilitate requirements review sessions with Business sponsors, project stakeholders, and IT partners.
- Participate in technical analysis meetings and daily stand-ups with IT partners and support Systems Analysts during the development of functional specifications.
- Closely work with developers and other IT resources to advocate for the business, ensuring user satisfaction.
- Work in partnership with Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure test strategy mitigates business risk.
- Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases, execution of tests, and consideration of automated testing techniques.
- Support post-implementation testing, ensuring coverage of user testing to ensure no production issues.
- Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
- Provide coaching and mentorship for Business Analysts/User Acceptance Testers, at all levels (junior through senior), by assessing gaps and providing training.
- Manage project scope, schedule, reporting, issue tracking, and escalation for non-IT projects.
- Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- ~5 years as a Lead Business Analyst or Systems Analyst on Large IT Projects, in the financial services or insurance industry.
- ~Proven experience in business architecture, including capability mapping, value stream mapping, and business process modeling. Evidence of training or certification is beneficial.
- ~Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to design end-to-end business solutions, ensuring that technical, business, and user experience requirements are met while balancing feasibility, scalability, and performance considerations.
- ~Expert-level knowledge of Business or System Analysis, including process, tools, and techniques.
- MS Office.
- Power BI.
- SQL Query Writing.
