At Our Lady Queen of Peace Montessori School, we are seeking a skilled Child Care Professional to join our team.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position responsible for providing high-quality child care services to children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the overall growth and development of children.
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various forms of art, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities that promote healthy eating habits, dressing, and toilet training.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A College/CEGEP degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a child care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
Working Conditions

This is a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment. The ideal candidate will be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include dental and health care plans, vision care benefits, and life insurance. We also offer free parking and on-site amenities.
