Job Title: Healthcare Assistant Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant Professional to join our team at Hardy Terrace Long-Term Care Home.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Healthcare Assistant Professional, you will be responsible for providing direct care to residents, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to residents
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Participate in resident assessments and develop care plans
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and treatment
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care
Requirements
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate program or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in long-term care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move residents as needed
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $28-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan and opportunities for professional development.
