A Real Estate Sales Professional is responsible for managing all aspects of a home purchase and sale. This involves providing expert advice to clients on how to market and sell their home, as well as finding a new home that meets their needs and budget. As a sales professional, you will need to be creative and innovative in your approach to selling homes, and be able to build strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a passion for the real estate industry. They will also need to be able to stay up-to-date with market trends and be able to provide expert advice to clients.
Real Estate Sales Professionals earn a commission on each transaction they complete, making it a lucrative career choice. With experience and a strong client base, it's not uncommon for sales professionals to earn over $100,000 per year.
Regulatory Notice: While a real estate license is not required to apply, you must obtain a real estate license before officially being hired. To earn a real estate license, you will need to complete real estate classes offered by Humber College's Real Estate Education Programs, the designated sole provider for the Real Estate Salesperson Program in Ontario by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). After completing the pre-registration education, you can apply to become registered as a salesperson with RECO. - Stay updated and informed on the local real estate market to be aware of current home listings and sales.
- Communicate effectively with all clients on a regular basis and answer their questions.
- Represent your clients during real estate negotiations and transactions.
- Show a desire to forge connections, build trust, and manage long-term relationships with individuals.
- Prepare documents such as representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases.
