Investment Operations Specialist – Client Services

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Client Services team, based in Greater Vancouver. Our team is focused on delivering exceptional servicing to our global client base of institutional and retail investors. Our purpose is to build long-term relationships with our clients and provide them with a distinctive and world-class experience.

Key Responsibilities- Proactively communicate with institutional and retail clients and other stakeholders, providing information about the Orbis Funds and participating in client onboarding processes.
- Build relationships and work closely with other global client and operations teams and business units to effectively service our clients.
- Owning key responsibilities related to the transaction cycle of the Orbis Funds, including verifying client transactions and validating sensitive client information.
- Leading impactful projects and initiatives to develop pragmatic improvements and innovative solutions by working collaboratively with our dedicated technology team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and empathetically with clients.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, accompanied by the ability to think independently and critically to solve problems.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, enabling you to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with different stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A self-starter who sees challenges as opportunities and enjoys taking initiative to influence change.
- High standards of personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills when working on multiple deliverables.
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record.
- 1-3 years of professional experience with a proven track record of success and progression.
- The following are not mandatory, but will be an asset: Keen interest in the investment industry, currently completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program.
The annual base salary for this position will be between $60,000 and $65,000 per year, excluding benefits. The total compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus.
