Job Summary:

Forum, a leading developer, owner, and operator of commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate properties, is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join its team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the daily accounting records of revenue-generating properties for an assigned portfolio, as well as other projects as assigned.
  • Prepare and report quarterly and yearly property financials, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Develop and implement process solutions to improve accounting efficiency.
  • Assist with special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in public accounting and an understanding of the real estate industry is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems and software, experience using Spectra, Simply Accounting, and Building Stack is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A team player who can develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.
