Veterinary Reception, Client Care

Tri Lake Animal Hospital and Referral Centre is seeking a full-time customer service-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
  • Answering a multi-line phone system and tracking and booking appointments effectively
  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
  • Responding and managing email correspondence, including clients, referring veterinarians, and internal office messages
  • Admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing and billing, including creating estimates and explaining fees, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Providing excellent customer service skills and a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • General housekeeping duties, including the cleanliness of the reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas, including the removal of animal waste
  • Willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
