**Salary & Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. **Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist - Hematology to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to hematology testing, including operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, analyzing test results, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of our diagnostic processes.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
  • Analyze test results and ensure accuracy and quality
  • Investigate unexpected abnormal and/or spurious results according to laboratory policies and procedures
  • Monitor quality control results and respond accordingly
  • Ensure specimen collection, integrity, transport and storage meet sample processing and analysis requirements
  • Assist at bone marrow collections, check specimens for acceptability and process in-house and send-out test requests
  • Participate in the laboratory quality management system and process improvements

**Requirements:**

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (CMLT) or equivalent
  • Current registration with CMLTO in good standing
  • Minimum two years recent hematology experience in a hospital laboratory setting, or completion of relevant education within the past two years
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and maintain high productivity, competence and professionalism
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to evaluate and analyze information to facilitate continuous improvement of laboratory processes
