We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Laboratory & Monitoring Engineer to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, ON.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing quality assurance activities for laboratories and at-line measuring stations, as well as developing measurement systems and preparing investment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and implement an effective supplier management process for PowerCo Canada.
- Develop and present planning concepts for laboratory and at-line layout and technical specifications.
- Implement concepts and measures, and further develop techniques and procedures.
- Ensure verification and calibration of inspection and measurement equipment.
- Prepare measurement device usage and verification instructions.
- Fulfill and document requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in automotive, battery, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment and verification/calibration methods.
- Basic knowledge of automotive quality management systems, FMEA, and SPC.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for domestic and international travel.
- A flexible and collaborative team dynamic.
