We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Billing Associate to join our Central Billing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in customer account setup, data gathering, and billing accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in promoting a culture of Health & Safety as the top priority.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing exceptional service and continuously improving the customer experience.
- Process and input new and re-activated customer account set-ups, communicate details with finance, warehousing solutions, and business development teams, and file documents.
- Input and maintain customer master, item, consignee, carrier, charge profile, and automated revenue charge prompt set-up details.
- Maintain customer charge profiles under the direction of business development and/or within the scope of the rating authorization policy document.
- Perform entry and audit of annual general rate increase and contracted increases.
- Process and input all customer inbound and/or outbound orders and renewal charges and audits entered charges for validation and accuracy.
- Utilize invoice accrual report on an as needed basis to validate invoice accuracy and identify any invoice corrections prior to invoice completion.
- Anticipate and prevent delays or other challenges that can adversely affect the customer, keeping them informed about the status of pending actions and inquiries about customer satisfaction.
- Communicate regularly with warehousing solutions team to share information.
- Ensure proper invoicing of accounts and delivery of invoices to customers based on a defined schedule.
- Identify, investigate, and process manual credit and/or debits for invoice corrections.
- Gather data and information to assist in the preparation of reports, as required.
- Assist in the execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Operate within the Code of Business Conduct, company policies and procedures, and all statutes and legislation governing the workplace.
- Participate in other initiatives, projects, and duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
- Thorough knowledge of shipping and transportation operations and familiarity with import and export processes is an asset
- Experience with transportation management software
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
