About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment
  • Provide routine check-ups, health screenings, and preventive care services
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including mental health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
