Surgical Nurse Specialist

Humber River Health is a dynamic healthcare organization committed to delivering high-quality patient care and innovative services. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Surgery 11 East & West Unit.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to surgical patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing technology to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Utilize computerized systems for documentation of patient care, ensuring accurate and timely recording of vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant information.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
- CURRENTLY REGISTERED NURSE REGISTRATION WITH THE COLLEGE OF NURSES OF ONTARIO
- BCLS REQUIRED OR DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCY
- DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF ACUTE MEDICAL/SURGICAL CARE
- RECENT SURGICAL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
