About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our client's team. As a key member of the project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead internal reviews of environmental designs and mitigation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental quality management systems.
  • Maintain relationships with environmental authorities and stakeholders to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Implement and monitor the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for environmental management with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined education and experience in environmental compliance management.
  • Certified Environmental Professional as per provincial standards.
  • Minimum of 10 years in senior management roles overseeing major projects, including urban and rural transit construction.
  • Skilled in developing, monitoring, and auditing environmental practices.
  • Proficient in erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Proven experience with federal and provincial permit applications.
  • Effective in coordinating team efforts to achieve objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental and waste regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
