About the Role

This exciting opportunity is a hands-on role that requires someone with a few years of Payroll & HR experience. You will be responsible for developing new HR policies and procedures, streamlining existing processes, and identifying gaps in our processes, policies, or procedures, and proposing solutions to address these.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payscale: $55,000 to $65,000 yearly
  • Payroll and benefits processing/administration for 8 divisions in Canada and the USA, and streamlining/integrating payroll processing across these divisions (50% of your time).
  • Completing journal entries and submitting payroll tax information
  • Being the in-house expert on HR, and advising hiring managers as need be
  • Liaise with external HR Consultant or Employment Lawyer as required
  • Completing recruitment functions
  • Supporting the creation of new HR initiatives
  • Overseeing health and safety and ensuring information is up-to-date and adheres to the appropriate guidelines
  • Examining current processes to propose initiatives or solutions and assisting in driving these new processes forward

  • Experience doing full-cycle payroll processing and benefits administration
