Job Title: Senior Field Application Manager

About the Role:

The Senior Field Application Manager will be responsible for building and supporting sales within new and existing customers in the Ontario region. This role will involve working directly with contractors and end-users to generate sales growth of CertainTeed's portfolio of building products. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the building and construction industry and be able to develop and implement a territory strategy to grow sales with year-over-year growth in multiple product categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a territory strategy to grow sales with year-over-year growth in multiple product categories.
  • Identify customer solutions that span across multiple product categories and collaborate effectively with customers to help them grow their business.
  • Establish and effectively manage a high sales call cycle for a diverse customer base, including contractors, builders, and distributors.
  • Work collaboratively with the GSD Field Sales Manager and Territory Managers to deliver sales growth by securing contractors with the CT brand and working with the dealer network.
  • Conduct sales promotions, training, and product knowledge sessions with contractors, builders, and other trade factors.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to create competitive solutions.
  • Provide product knowledge to customer inquiries and develop account growth.
  • Communicate promptly and regularly with the regional team on trends, opportunities, and issues.
  • Support the GSD Field Sales Manager and Territory Managers and investigate customer complaints and make recommendations to improve the customer experience.
  • Monitor the quality of our products on job sites to ensure customers are satisfied and issues are resolved internally.
  • Conduct competitive audits and benchmarking and communicate with Quality and R&D.
  • Work with plants and R&D on field trials of new products.
  • Participate in formalized training programs to continually improve customer experience with products.
  • Deliver samples of new and existing products and follow applications on job sites, some lifting of our products is required in this role.
  • Process all administrative tasks accurately and on time, including Salesforce and expense accounts.
  • Ensure alignment to our Health & Safety core value by continuously evaluating our workplace for safety concerns.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of equivalent training and related experience in the building, construction industry or Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar discipline.
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of applied professional job site experience, including communication with applicators and finishers.
  • Experience managing contractor relationships is strongly preferred.
  • Experience cold-calling, demonstrating, and converting end-users to equivalent products.
  • Job site experience with a focus on developing long-term relationships with applicators.
Location:

Remote position; GTA, Ontario. Travel: up to 25% overnight.
