Baker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Leavenly Goods Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
  • Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to meet production demands.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality products.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
  • Draw up production schedules to meet demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability and dependability in a team environment.
