Maintenance Planner Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the plant. This includes scheduling maintenance tasks, coordinating with maintenance teams, and ensuring that all necessary resources are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure that all necessary resources are available
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance metrics
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve plant efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance planning and coordination
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and coordination principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Planner will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
