About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for the initiation and management of mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management in various healthcare settings.

You will deliver and manage the administration of oxygen and other compressed gases, aerosolized medications, and high humidity therapies. Additionally, you will perform and interpret related pulmonary diagnostic testing, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve physician goals for patients' cardiorespiratory status.

Responsibilities may also include patient or staff education sessions, and other duties as required.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Respiratory Therapist who has:

  • Upcoming Graduate OR Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Must currently hold/maintain registration or eligible for with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
Hours & Locations
  • Permanent, assignments (temporary), and casual relief opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • You will be asked to specify your work hours and location preferences in the screening questions
Compensation and Incentives
  • $40.66 Hourly
  • Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan
  • Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance for a return of service commitment
