Truck Accessory Fitment Specialist

At Bayview Trucks in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, we are seeking a skilled Truck Accessory Fitment Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with new truck inventory and take pride in delivering high-quality results.
About the RoleThis position involves dressing up our new truck inventory with various accessories such as lights, fenders, PTO, chrome visors, and bunk skirts. You will be responsible for ensuring attention to detail, working well with minimal supervision, and meeting set service times.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
- Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
- Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
- Complete technical reports from different manufacturers, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Be available to work covering after-hours service calls for emergencies.
- Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport OR Heavy Equipment Service Technician - MINIMUM BLOCK 3 COMPLETION.
- Ability to lift and move a maximum 50 lbs., (or in accordance with provincial workplace health & safety standards).
- Willingness to continue training.
- Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based software.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a service environment.
- Above Industry Standard Hourly Rates: $25-$35 per hour.
