Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty equipment.

\

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.

\

Essential Duties

\
  • Diagnostics: Utilize your advanced knowledge of heavy-duty equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment.
  • Technical Analysis: Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements, modifications, or upgrades to enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements

\
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) required.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

\

This position is located at Hoyle Pond site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine Site near Timmins, ON. A 5x5x4 schedule requires relocation if you do not live nearby.
