The EightSix Network, a General Contractor based in Nanaimo, BC, is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead their high-voltage energy projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles, business acumen, and excellent documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and manage contract variations.
- Scheduling: Develop and implement project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
- Project Planning: Create comprehensive project plans, including risk management, budgeting, and quality control.
- Project Controls: Monitor and report on project progress, including cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
- Manage Budget and Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including contracts, specifications, and technical documents.
- Manage Logistics and Procurement: Coordinate the acquisition of materials, services, and labor required for project delivery.
- Subcontractor Selection and Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience as a project manager in high-voltage energy projects.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering/Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- Safety-focused with a proven safety work record.
- Knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite required.
- Willingness to travel.
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 to $180,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. The compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
