As a Plant Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our CBM sites in the eastern region, ensuring the safe and efficient use of labour and equipment. You will work closely with operations management to meet the needs and targets of our various plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise unionized and non-unionized hourly workforces, maintaining high employee morale and adhering to collective bargaining agreements and employee handbooks.
- Support labour relations, manage grievances, and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate production, storage, and distribution, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Plan, organize, and batch concrete loads/deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Implement, train, and administer environmental, health & safety, and quality system policies and procedures.
- Perform concrete testing according to CSA & ASTM standards.
- Complete paperwork and reporting as needed.
Requirements:
- At least two years post-secondary education (college or university).
- Previous ready-mix or similar industry experience is an asset.
- Excellent people management, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnights.
- G Class license and clear 3-year abstract is required.
- DZ License is an asset.
- Heavy Equipment operation experience.
