Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Supervisor to join our team at WASTEHAUL TRANSPORT INC.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of our transportation team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of the transportation team, including dispatching drivers and monitoring routes.
  • Prepare and submit reports on transportation activities, including metrics on efficiency and productivity.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work on vehicles and equipment.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to team members.
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work to ensure timely completion and high quality.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in transportation or logistics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Windows skills.
Work Environment:

The Transportation Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dispatchers and radio operators. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
