Job Summary


An exciting opportunity exists to join our Central Funding Group as a Securities Finance Trader, working in London. You will support senior traders in negotiating and executing triparty repo and reverse repo financing, stock borrowing and lending, and total return swap funding trades.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Pricing and execution of bilateral and triparty reverse repo, repo, stock borrow and loan, and equity derivative transactions
  • Pricing and execution of FX and Interest Rate derivatives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and group clients
  • Optimizing collateral schedules in line with Group policy and monitoring collateral exceptions on a daily basis
  • Measuring and agreeing daily Client and Security Risk
  • Managing risks inherent to the book and reconciling Risk, Counterparty Credit, Liquidity, and other reports
  • Timely and accurate booking of trades
  • Reconciling daily trading activity, cash balances, bookings, and PNL
  • Enhancing and developing existing processes using VBA, Perl, and other scripting languages

Requirements:



  • Masters degree educated or equivalent
  • A strong interest in Capital Markets and experience within a similar position would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Project Management
  • Ability to perform under periods of pressure
  • Good communication skills at various levels of seniority
  • Some programming skills required to manipulate VBA spreadsheets and Perl scripts
  • Knowledge of derivatives pricing
  • Knowledge of securities finance products and operational flows
