At Planks Flooring, we are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, resilient, and carpet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install various types of flooring, including hardwood, resilient, and carpet
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work in an urban area
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
Work Environment:

The Flooring Installation Specialist will work in an urban area, with public transportation available. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel. The ideal candidate will have steel-toed safety boots and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
