Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at Planks Flooring. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install vinyl decking materials

Requirements:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work in an urban area
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Steel-toed safety boots
