Operations Officer Opportunity in Saint John

Are you a bilingual French speaker looking to gain experience in a top 5 bank? Do you have excellent operations and admin experience? If so, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Our client, a top 5 bank, is seeking an Operations Officer for a 6-month contract in Saint John. This is a hybrid role, with onsite work twice a week. There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion to a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing transactions accurately
  • Referring or escalating processing or operational issues as needed
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
  • Supporting partners with incoming transactions
  • Interacting with partners in an effective and timely manner
  • Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet Service Level Agreement
  • Understanding internal and industry regulations and trends
  • Exercising discretion in managing correspondence
  • Supporting the timely and accurate completion of business processes
  • Reviewing internal processes and activities and providing ideas for process improvement
  • Investigating and escalating non-standard or high-risk activities as appropriate
  • Adhering to enterprise frameworks and methodologies
  • Complying with Bank Code of Conduct
  • Participating fully as a member of the team
  • Actively building operations/business services knowledge
  • Participating in personal performance management and development activities
  • Keeping others informed and up to date about the status/progress of projects
  • Contributing to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for the Shared Services department and the bank
Requirements:
  • Bilingual/French Speaker required
  • Operations experience
  • Admin experience
  • Client-facing experience
  • MS Office Suite
