Our team works closely with home operator partners to promote resident health, staff education, and medication system quality and efficiency.

Job Summary

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician at CareRx, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescriptions. You will work under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Production Team Lead to maintain compliance with provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, and timely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to long-term care homes and retirement communities.
  • Communicate effectively with the resident care team while maintaining professionalism.
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation and maintain accurate resident health records.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members.
  • Prepare and compound medications as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Registered and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Pharmacists (RPhT).
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with healthcare team members.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Kroll and Point Click Care (PCC).
  • Experience with Med e-care.
  • Experience with PACMed/PACVision.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Understanding of provincial regulations governing long-term care homes and retirement communities.
What We Offer

CareRx offers a competitive compensation package, including a rate of $30-$34/hour, with actual pay based on individual credentials and experience. This is a two-day-per-week position.
