Tax Compliance Specialist

The Tax Compliance Advisor, North America is a key role within BRP's finance team, responsible for ensuring the company's Canadian legal entities comply with all relevant tax legislations. This involves monitoring tax law changes, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks or capitalize on opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the end-to-end tax compliance process for designated entities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and document tax risks, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
- Organize, prepare, and explain tax accounting results for designated entities.
- Manage tax audits, ensuring compliance and resolving any issues that arise.
- Analyze current processes and develop continuous improvement solutions to enhance tax compliance.
- Develop strong relationships with the Legal and Treasury departments, providing ongoing support to business units.
- Recognized professional title in accounting.
- Master's degree in taxation or equivalent (an asset).
- Excellent analytical and synthetic abilities.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Minimum of two years of experience in tax compliance.
- Strong management of priorities and deadlines.
