Clerical Support Associate - Oncology Day Care

Humber River Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Associate to join our Oncology Day Care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clerical support including patient registration, appointment booking, and maintenance of patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information and records.
  • Support the care team in data collection processes required by Ontario Health Cancer Care Ontario.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time equivalent recent clerical experience required, preferably in an ambulatory oncology setting.
  • Good keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of a second language an asset.
