About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at VENTE AU DÉTAIL BESTSELLER CANADA INC. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all sales and customer service goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Ensure that all sales staff are assigned to their duties in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Review and authorize the return of merchandise to ensure that it meets our company's return policy.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure that all staff members are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Sell Merchandise: Assist customers with purchases and ensure that all sales transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to management.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other operational issues.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Ensure that all inventory is accurately counted and maintained to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of all staff members to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure that all staff members are meeting their performance goals.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor who has a strong background in retail sales and customer service. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment.
  • Language: Fluency in French.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced retail environment.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods.
