As a Fixed Asset and Property Tax Analyst, you'll play a critical role in supporting our property tax cycle, including accounting for tax fixed assets, reconciling fixed assets, and preparing timely and accurate personal property tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the maintenance of detailed fixed asset records in our tax fixed asset management software
  • Reconcile and analyze fixed assets to GAAP asset records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and file 200+ annual personal property tax renditions, meeting deadlines and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with the Manager to ensure timely and accurate real property tax reporting and payments
  • Review property tax assessments for reasonableness, defend filing positions, and prepare for payment
  • Work closely with operating personnel to prepare property tax budgets and maintain tax calendars
  • Support management in state and local audits, gathering information, analyzing data, and implementing system changes
  • Document department processes and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant property tax law and regulations, providing expert guidance as needed
  • Interact with Finance department members and accounting personnel at our operating facilities
