Job Title: Concessions Attendant

The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a Concessions Attendant to join our team. As a Concessions Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fast food to the public, as well as assisting with the operation of Golf concessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service in preparing and serving fast food to the public.
  • Receive payments, deposit daily revenue, and complete daily cash summary sheets; ensure daily deposits and float are balanced.
  • Keep concession area clean and organized.
  • Assist with maintaining concession stock and stock records, which may include monitoring stock spoilage, ordering, receiving, and transferring stock.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current certifications: Ontario Smart Serve and Safe food handling (Level 1).
  • Ability to provide superior customer service, serving the public in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Must have cash handling abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice good lifting, safety, and sanitation techniques.
  • Must possess and maintain at minimum a valid Class "G2" Ontario Driver's Licence.
  • Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation.
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to this work.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC).
  • Must maintain Safe Food Handling Certification (Level 1).
  • Must remain a competent driver as defined by the Corporation.
  • May be required to provide a successful driver's record (uncertified).
  • Will be required to work irregular hours and weekends.
