About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a School Meals Program Coordinator. This is a part-time opportunity that will allow you to work with school-aged children and contribute to the success of our school district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the distribution of lunches for the lunch program
  • Provide feedback on upcoming menus to the caterer and administration
  • Ensure menus are printed and distributed to all students
  • Oversee the collection of monies from students and balance with receipts
  • Determine monthly parental contributions and prepare consent forms
  • Keep track of lunch program participants
  • Assist with supervision of students and meal service
  • Monitor food consumption and student preferences
  • Communicate with the caterer to ensure accurate ordering
  • Prepare reports on program progress and contribute to the year-end report
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation
  • Up to three months of related experience working with school-aged children
  • Valid FoodSafe Level 1 Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to authorize a Criminal Record Check
What We Offer
  • A starting wage of $27.25 per hour
  • Five hours per week, 10 months per year
