Job Title: Chief Information Officer

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the planning and delivery of the government's strategies, priorities, and objectives through the use of Digital and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership for the Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) Division and the Manitoba Education Research Learning and Information Network (MERLIN) Special Operating Agency (SOA).
  • Develop direction for the government's ICT and Digital strategies, and the annual government-wide ICT asset management and investment planning processes.
  • Plan and deliver the government's substantial and diverse portfolio of ICT projects, and ensure the protection and reliable operation of the government's large fleet of existing departmental and corporate technologies and systems.
  • Accountable for cybersecurity for all of government, as well as technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).
Requirements:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Enhanced Security Screening.
